Accepting new athlete applications for the 2023-2024 Winter Season
China Peak Race Team is designed to offer all ages a fun environment in which kids learn to love the sport of skiing. Athletes learn alpine racing, character development and skills for staying safe on the snow. We welcome all athletes ranging from 6-16 years old.
The China Peak Race Team follows SkillsQuest, the cornerstone training program for the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Training Systems, which is designed to motivate and reward athletes in working toward and improving abilities in the key areas of emphasis.
Throughout the season, our experienced coaches utilize a diverse mix of training elements to develop each athlete, including freeskiing, drills and gate training. Each program is designed based on the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Alpine Training Systems Matrix.
Each individual's skill level will be assessed at the beginning of the season, and placed with the appropriate group.
Our Teams
Development (Devo) Team
The primary goal of the Devo team is to help young skiers develop strong fundamental skills, gain joy and passion for the sport, all while being part of an competitive team environment. Our experienced coaches focus on progressive skill acquisition, with directed free skiing that promotes safe skiing, respect for the mountain, and most of all, fun! Devo athletes gain a solid foundation that will enable them to advance to the Race Team once they have mastered the fundamental skills.

U10/U12/U14/U16
Race Teams
Our Race Teams offer competitive skiing for youth ages 6-16. These groups focus on fundamental and advanced skill development as well as athletic and personal growth. Athletes must have a coach recommendation and meet the athletic skill and maturity requirements to participate in the Race Team. Our experienced coaches use a mix of directed freeskiing, coached drills, gate training and video reviews to provide the best development opportunities for our athletes.
